The M.O.T.H.S (memorable order the tin hats) dine in November for their armistice dinner, a well supported evening to remember the fallen of all wars. Various local golf, cricket, fishing, gun and pony clubs hold presentation and social evenings. Charities hold fundraising events for local, national and international causes. One annual Christmas fancy dress party has supported the MacMillan Cancer Care for 25yrs, and has raised in excess of £50,000.
